You give, and you say what for
Whether it is a one-time gift, a child sponsorship or a CSR contribution, the amount and the programme you chose are captured with your name and contact details as you enter them. Nothing is assumed on your behalf.
Accountability
Shri Ganesh Thakur Socio Educational Research Foundation is a registered public charitable trust, established 2007 in the memory of Educationist Shri Ganesh Thakur, working across Delhi NCR and Bihar. This page sets out the machinery behind a gift — how it is recorded, how it is receipted, how anyone can check that receipt, and what you are entitled to ask the office for.
You will not find a headline total on this page, and that is deliberate.
The foundation publishes figures once they are on the record and audited — not before, and not as an estimate dressed up as a result. What is already true today is the mechanism: every gift written into a register, every receipt carrying a reference that anyone can verify, and a named office that answers when you ask.
How a gift is receipted
Accountability is not a promise made once a year. It is a chain, and every link in it is either there or it is not.
Whether it is a one-time gift, a child sponsorship or a CSR contribution, the amount and the programme you chose are captured with your name and contact details as you enter them. Nothing is assumed on your behalf.
The moment the contribution is confirmed it is written into the foundation's donation register on this platform, against the programme it was given for. A gift that is not in the register is not receipted — the register is the record, not a copy of it.
Your receipt carries its own reference number and the particulars your accountant needs. Donations are eligible for 50% deduction under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Enter the reference on the verify page and the register answers. No account, no login, no request to the office. Your accountant, your employer or a CSR compliance team can check it exactly as you can.
Each one is receipted through the same chain. The difference is the commitment, not the paperwork.
Give once, for whichever programme moves you. Your 80G receipt is generated as soon as the gift is recorded.
₹9,000 a year covers one child's education, healthcare and protection. A three-year commitment is recommended so the child is not left mid-way.
Partner on education, water, skills and health programmes — with utilisation reporting your board can put on record.

What the money is spent on
11 programmes across 8 areas of work — Education, Water, Livelihood, Access & Infrastructure, Health, Disaster Relief, Relief and Environment. A contribution is recorded against one of these, and it is that programme name which appears on your receipt.
Free classes so quality education reaches children who would otherwise go without.
Free online classes born in the pandemic — bridging education and technology so learning never stops.
Scholarships and awards that recognise effort and keep students going.
All-round personality development and the confidence to face any challenge.
Rejuvenation of rivers, ponds, wells and other water bodies — because everything downstream depends on water.
Skill-based training for the youth of Bihar to raise employability and open doors to dignified work.
Adoption of villages for development in all aspects — towards villages that are self-sufficient.
Health camps and OPD support for families beyond the reach of care.
Relief work carried out through the pandemic for families who lost their footing.
Food, clothing and essentials for households in immediate need.
Plantation drives that put the environment back into community hands.
The foundation's own account of this work — the field reports, the photographs, the people who run each programme — lives on the main website. Read about the programmes ↗
Your standing as a donor
You are not making a donation into silence. These are answerable questions, and the office answers them.
If the receipt is mislaid, quote the reference — or the date and amount of the gift — and the office will re-issue it. The register keeps the original entry either way.
Every contribution is recorded against a named programme. You are entitled to be told which one, and to be told if that ever changes.
The registered name, the registration number, the year of establishment and the 80G position are stated on this page and confirmed by the office in writing on request.
Say which programme and which period. The office will give you the position it holds for that programme rather than a general statement about the foundation.
This platform is where the foundation's giving records are now kept, and programme-wise financial statements will be published on it as full periods build up on the record. That is a matter of time passing, not of anything being withheld. In the meantime the office holds the position for every programme and will give it to you on request — write or call, and say which programme and which period you are asking about.
