Accountability

Where your money goes

Shri Ganesh Thakur Socio Educational Research Foundation is a registered public charitable trust, established 2007 in the memory of Educationist Shri Ganesh Thakur, working across Delhi NCR and Bihar. This page sets out the machinery behind a gift — how it is recorded, how it is receipted, how anyone can check that receipt, and what you are entitled to ask the office for.

You will not find a headline total on this page, and that is deliberate.

The foundation publishes figures once they are on the record and audited — not before, and not as an estimate dressed up as a result. What is already true today is the mechanism: every gift written into a register, every receipt carrying a reference that anyone can verify, and a named office that answers when you ask.

How a gift is receipted

Four steps from your hand to a record anyone can check

Accountability is not a promise made once a year. It is a chain, and every link in it is either there or it is not.

You give, and you say what for

Whether it is a one-time gift, a child sponsorship or a CSR contribution, the amount and the programme you chose are captured with your name and contact details as you enter them. Nothing is assumed on your behalf.

The gift enters the register

The moment the contribution is confirmed it is written into the foundation's donation register on this platform, against the programme it was given for. A gift that is not in the register is not receipted — the register is the record, not a copy of it.

A receipt is issued with an 80G reference

Your receipt carries its own reference number and the particulars your accountant needs. Donations are eligible for 50% deduction under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Anyone can verify it — including you

Enter the reference on the verify page and the register answers. No account, no login, no request to the office. Your accountant, your employer or a CSR compliance team can check it exactly as you can.

The three ways a gift arrives

Each one is receipted through the same chain. The difference is the commitment, not the paperwork.

Any amount

One-time gift

Give once, for whichever programme moves you. Your 80G receipt is generated as soon as the gift is recorded.

Sponsor a childएक बच्चा गोद लें

₹9,000 a year covers one child's education, healthcare and protection. A three-year commitment is recommended so the child is not left mid-way.

Your standing as a donor

What you can ask us for, and how to ask

You are not making a donation into silence. These are answerable questions, and the office answers them.

A copy of your receipt, re-issued

If the receipt is mislaid, quote the reference — or the date and amount of the gift — and the office will re-issue it. The register keeps the original entry either way.

Which programme your gift was applied to

Every contribution is recorded against a named programme. You are entitled to be told which one, and to be told if that ever changes.

The trust's registration particulars

The registered name, the registration number, the year of establishment and the 80G position are stated on this page and confirmed by the office in writing on request.

The position on a programme you funded

Say which programme and which period. The office will give you the position it holds for that programme rather than a general statement about the foundation.

On financial statements

Programme-wise statements are published here as the records accumulate

This platform is where the foundation's giving records are now kept, and programme-wise financial statements will be published on it as full periods build up on the record. That is a matter of time passing, not of anything being withheld. In the meantime the office holds the position for every programme and will give it to you on request — write or call, and say which programme and which period you are asking about.
