A place in the register
Your name and details are entered in the foundation's member register under a member number of your own. That register is the same one the office works from — nothing here is a separate mailing list.
Membership
Membership is a named, standing association with Shri Ganesh Thakur Socio Educational Research Foundation — a registered trust, Regd. No. 5468, working across Delhi NCR and Bihar since 2007 in the memory of Educationist Shri Ganesh Thakur. This page is where you apply for it.
Applying is not paying. This form records an application and nothing else. No money is taken on this page, and no payment details are asked for. If the office approves your application, it will tell you the fee for the plan you chose and how to pay it.
What it means
Said plainly, so nobody applies expecting something the foundation has not offered.
Your name and details are entered in the foundation's member register under a member number of your own. That register is the same one the office works from — nothing here is a separate mailing list.
Membership begins when the office approves the application, not when this form is submitted. Someone reads every application, and may telephone you on the number you give below.
Once approved, your member number can be confirmed by anyone you show it to — on the verify page of this site. A membership you can prove is worth more than one you can only claim.
Application
Five fields and a choice. The application reaches the foundation's office the moment you submit it — nobody re-keys it from an email.
After you apply
No part of this is automatic approval. Here is the whole path from this form to a member number that verifies.
Other ways in
Membership is one way to stand with the foundation. It is not the only one, and it is not the fastest.
A one-time gift needs no approval and no waiting. Donations are eligible for 50% deduction under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
₹750 a month. ₹9,000 a year covers one child's education, healthcare and protection. A three-year commitment is recommended so the child is not left mid-way.
Volunteers teach, run camps and hold the plantation and water drives together. Time is often the scarcer gift.
If you would rather apply by phone, or want to ask what membership involves before you commit to it, the office will take the call.
The main website carries the fuller account of the foundation — who it is named for, the programmes it runs, and what it publishes about itself.
